GRAPHIC=Hold A restaraunt worker in Danville
did three thousand dollars in damage to
their vehicle escaping from a robber
last night.
Police say the employee was
leaving The Mayflower Restaraunt
shortly after ten when the suspect
approached with a gun and demanded
money.
After taking the money, the
suspect demanded the employee out of
the vehicle and back inside the store.
That's when the employee put the
car in reverse and sped into a concrete
pole.
The suspect escaped on foot.

a bad idea.

would run from near the intersection of
Springwood and Poor Farm Roads to route
220, just north of the town.
In all, the bypass would run
about eight-tenths of a mile.
But some business owners and

equipment shortage.
But to fix the problem...Cingular
is shipping more phones to all of its
stores each day.

County roller skating rink.

at Virginia's assisted living
facilities.

to be licensed and medication aides
registered by the Board of Nursing.
It also increases inspection
penalties from five- hundred to ten-
thousand dollars.
The screening process for
residents with mental care needs will
also be improved.
To enforce the new regulations,
the governor's budget provides funding
for 11- new positions at the Department
of Social Services.
Virginia is home to more than 650
assisted living facilities.
