representatives have reached an
agreement on one thing.

Health care is the main sticking
point in their contract negotiations.

Saturday, the old contract
between Kroger and union employees was
set to expire.

However both sides have agreed
upon an indefinite extension of the old
contract while negotiations continue.

care of some maintence work.

They're floating outside to install
antennas and release a small satellite.
They've spent weeks dealing with
breakdowns on the outpost.

Two weeks ago, a circuit breaker
popped open and cut power to one of the
gyroscopes needed to keep the space
station stable and pointed in the right
direction. The astronauts also have

been dealing with an oxygen generator
that still isn't working.

They left the international space
station around 1:30 this morning. The
spacewalk is expected to last more than
five hours

looking for the suspect in a fatal
shooting early this morning.

Police say 41 year old Tony Dale
Martin, of Concorde, and a friend were
in the area of 8th and 10th streets
when Martin was shot once in the chest
by an unknown suspect.

His friend drove him to the
Emergency Room at Lynchburg General
Hospital, where he died.

Two weeks ago, a circuit breaker
popped open and cut power to one of the

Police say 41 year old Tony Dale

Martin, of Concorde, and a friend were
in the area of 8th and 10th streets
when Martin was shot once in the chest
by an unknown suspect.

His friend drove him to the
Emergency Room at Lynchburg General
Hospital, where he died.

breakdowns on the outpost.

popped open and cut power to one of the

Lynchburg Police are
investigating a fatal shooting early
this morning.

Police say 41 year old Tony Dale

Martin, of Concorde, and a friend were
in the area of 8th and 10th streets
when Martin was shot once in the chest
by an unknown suspect.

He later died at Lynchburg General
Hospital.

Food and Commercial Workers union are
negotiating a new contract.

Both sides say health care is the major
sticking point.

However, they have agreed upon an
indefinite extension of the old
contract while negotiations continue.

ENG#2 Radford's City Council will vote today


on whether to approve funds to improve
security at the city's courthouse.

If the funds are approved, Sheriff
Mark Armentrout plans to build a new
centrally located screening area that
will house new and more sensitive metal
detectors.
