the Mountaineer State where basketball
fans were hoping to be cheering on WVU
this weekend in the Final Four.
Their loss to Louisville
prevented that, but the Mountaineers
run to the elite 8

contract extension for head basketball
coach John
Beilein.
This afrternoon his contract was
extended for two additional years
through the 2011-2012 season His base
salary will be 700-thousand dollars a
year, with annual increases of
20-thousand.
The Mountaineers finished this past
season with a 24-and-11. It was the
team's best showing since Jerry West's
1959 squad went to the national title
game.
Beilein took over the
Mountaineers in April 2002 after five
seasons at Richmond. This year his
team beat 8 nationally ranked teams.

has been the play of Sean May who has
recorded 12 double doubles in his last
14 games. May spent last summer

Liberty made it to the Sweet 16

Many stores will begin selling the
