Police say 19 year Tech Student Edwin
Park was the mastermind behind the
gambling ring.
He's charged with a felony.

Farhat, seen here behind the door, for
allowing the gambling to happen and not
reporting it to police.
Ten others were picked up for being
employees... they acted as dealers and
waiters. Some were even paid to clean
up when the games ended.
Plus 14 people were arrested and
charged with a misdemeanor for playing
the illegal games.

a year ago.

NO SUPER survey today.
It shows the national average for
regular unleaded at 2-16 a gallon.
In Virginia, the average stands at
2-09, and in the Roanoke area, just a
penny less at 2-08.

Today's statewide average is 46 cents
higher than than last March.

Carey Green is being pursued by
Clemson.
The Tigers have asked for and
received a resume from Green to see if

Jim Davis and take over as the Clemson
women's team's head coach. Green used
to work for Davis, and Carey's son also
works at Clemson.
Liberty made it to the Sweet 16
this season giving Green all kinds of
national exposure. Green is under
contract with LU through 2009. He
signed a five-year contract with the
school before the just completed
season.

thanks by giving John Belein a contract
extension through the 2011-2012 season
His base salary will be 700-thousand
dollars a year, with annual increases
of 20-thousand.
The Mountaineers finished this past
season with a 24-and-11. It was the
team's best showing since Jerry West's
1959 squad went to the national title
game.
This also means that another
possible candidate to take over at UVa
has been eliminated from the chase.

basketball here in the states. After
leaving college in Seoul a year early,
he was discovered by Dazzle Coach Kent
Davison at a summer camp. Davison made
Bang a fourth round selection in the
D-league draft.
Virginia Tech senior Gilbert Lee has
been hired by the Dazzle to translate
for Bang, but the language of hoops is
universal.

TRAVIS: Despite being thousands of
miles away from home, the 22 year old
Bang has had little trouble making
friends here in the Valley.

much different culture.

Bang has averaged around 12 points per
game this season in 35 appearances with
the Dazzle. Like his teammates, he's
