the county started about four hours
ago.

About five acres were burning
when the first crews pulled up.

Since the beginning of the year,
Virginia's had 190 brush fires that
burned more than 400 acres.

Roanoke with Alleghany County was
blocked, then slowed for several hours,
after a tractor-trailer collided with a
camper.

plant in Roanoke County.

Technology.

The company will invest 6-and-a
half million dollars.

The state kicks in 200-thousand,
and the county provides the land plus
tax breaks.

The plant will make what's called
"pultruded composite products."

Tecton's web site illustrates the

process in which glass re-inforcements
are impregnated with liquid resin and
pulled through a heated die.

Pultrusion technology is used to
make windows, among other things.

For the last several years Powers has

wanted to purchase several acres off of
exit 150 in Daleville.



Monday night the Secretary of
Transportation contacted her
personally.

the parents of bullied students.

The parents may then get more
information from their local police.

Character Education programs will
also be required to address the
problem.

The bill was inspired by Chris

ago after being bullied in middle
school.

bright spot for the Panthers has been
the unbelievable play of talented
freshman Mary Greenway.
