Officials said a worker drilling

accident.

Homestead are nowing suing the resort.

April 4, 2003 Several people were injured when a
haywagon crashed into a parked
construction trailer in April of 2003.
Now, three of the victims, Michelle
Norris and David and Phyliss Brown are
suing the Homestead for negligence.
Norris and David Brown are suing for
250-thousand dollars.
Phyliss Brown is suing for
one-point-seven MILLION dollars.
All three claim they suffered severe
physical and emotional damage from the
accident.
The Homestead says it has NOT seen the
lawsuits yet, and therefore can not
make a comment at this time.

ENG#=1 forward, with or without the
participation of the city of Roanoke.

Roanoke County, the city of Salem
along with Franklin and Montgomery
Counties submitted a joint application
to replace the current region jail with
a new one at the Higginbotham Farm site
near Dixie Caverns.
The city expressed interest, too,
but it would have to complete a number
of requirements, which could push the
project back two-years.
Instead of delaying the project,
Roanoke County will establish the
authority which will let the city join
the project in the future.

facing even more tax increases.
Town Council is now looking at
raising the Meals Tax by one cent and
the Cigarette Tax by five cents.
The council is already
considering a three cent Real Estate
Tax hike.
Councilmember Paul Lancaster says
just because council is looking into
these taxes doesn't necessarily mean
all three will be raised.
Officials have said health care
costs are the reason a tax increase is
needed.
Residents can comment next
Tuesday at a public hearing at town
hall.

Ranier was called the 'builder
prince' for creating a thriving modern
economy, while transforming Monaco into
one of Europe's most appealing tourist
destinations.
Prince Albert is next in line for the

hundred dollars.
