situation.

saying?

HOLD BREAKING NEWS BANNER Keith/Jean, they don't want
parents to panic.

A student at Pulaski County High
School is sick.

Katherine McCombs with the Health
District tells me they have a confirmed
case of Meningitis but they are
investigating whether it is Bacterial
Meningitis.
TAKE GRAPHIC TAKE GRAPHIC

Bacterial Meningitis is a more
serious form of the illness and can
cause brain damage or be fatal.

It's a serious infection of the
fluid in the spinal cord and the fluid
in the brain.

The illness is NOT easily spread
person to person. You must be in very,
very close contact, like sharing a
toothbrush.

And it CAN be treated with
antibiotics.

LIVE=RACHEL LIVE FULL

HOLD BANNER Again, this is not a confirmed
case of Bacterial Meningitis.

DOUBLE BOXES=Keith-Jean & Rachel DOUBLE BOXES

Keith and Jean the health
department is investigating and
running tests.

Those results will not be back
until at least Saturday.

Rachel, what are Pulaski County school
officials saying?

The school system did send home a
letter this afternoon with students to
notify parents of the situation.

They also alerted faculty and
staff.

Keith and Jean, school is still
open tomororow.

Officials say not to worry until
we know something for sure.

WE WILL BE ABLE TO SUPPORT SUCH A
FACILITY. THERE IS NO ANALYSIS WHAT'S
SO EVER, IT'S JUST A WISH.

Brian Wishneff says it's a
numbers game, and there isn't a
detailed enough pricing analysis in the
committee's report for him to support
tearing down Victory Stadium.

Wishneff pushed for the formation
of a citizens committee and says
whatever the outcome, if it had been
done thoroughly, you wouldn't be
hearing a peep out of him now.

Other council members believe the
recommendation is a step forward.

13:06:20 BEV FITZPATRICK:IF COUNCIL
ACCEPTS THE RECOMMENDATION, WE WON'T BE
TALKING ABOUT RENOVATING ANY
MORE./////SO THAT WILL BE DONE?///THAT
WILL BE OVER. IF COUNCIL ACCEPTS THE

RECOMMENDATION OF THE COMMITTEE, WHICH
WOULD BE MY HOPE, THAT'S WHAT WE
ASSIGNED THEM TO DO. THE LAST THING
THAT I THINK WE SHOULD DO IS GO BACK
AND START ALL OVER AGAIN.

Both council members agree that
more numbers need to be formulated.

However, Fitzpatrick hopes that's
after a decision has been made to
rebuild, and Wishneff wants numbers
before council goes one way or the
other.

Still, some council members are
thinking about this fall's football
season, regardless of how the
recommendation is taken by City
Council.

12:37:50 SHERMAN LEA:I THINK THE
CHAINS NEED TO COME OFF. I THINK WE
NEED TO USE VICTORY STADIUM RIGHT NOW

the table for City Council.

May second the citizens committee
will give the formal presentation of
their recommendation.

Then it's up to council members
to either go down the road to building

CBS-USA In fact play was delayed five and :00 half hours.

But the Golden Bear - 65 year old
Jack Nicklaus - playing in his 45th
Masters - brought out the sun on more

ways than one.

Nicklaus had told folks he wasn't
up to playing this year after suffering
through the death of his 17 month old
grandson who drowned in a hot tub.

But today the six-time Masters
champ was able to muster a smile as he
drained this birdie putt on the second
hole.

It's his 503rd birdie in Masters
play.

Now - if you have HD capabilities
at home - we are offering the Masters
for you in high definition today and
tomorrow from 4 to 7pm.

Old Dominon, says she first met Vick in
2001 at "Shadows" - a Virginia Beach
nightclub. While the lawsuit does not
specify how much money the woman is
seeking, it does allege that Vick used
the name "Ron Mexico" as an alias when
he went to have the STD tests
preformed.

Vick's attorney has until May 6th
to respond to the lawsuit, which was
filed last month in Gwinnett County
State Court.
