Now here's a look at today's top local
stories.

Roanoke Police say two 16-year old
boys were walking along Wildwood Road
yesterday evening when a car stopped,
two men got out and there was an
altercation. One of the boys was
stabbed.

He was taken to an area hospital with
what are described as non-life
threatening injuries.

ENG#1 It wasn't an easy, or unanimous

decision, but a citizen's committee has
voted 10 to 4 to tear down Victory
Stadium and build a new stadium.

On May 2nd, the committee will submit
its recomendation to City Council --
which has the final say on the
stadium's future.

ENG#2

So what do Roanokers think about the
committee decision? Many say they're
just happy a decision on the future of
Victory Stadium has been made.

The school board is already coming up
with plans in case it cannot schedule
football games in Victory Stadium this
fall.
