(END SOT) the Henry County airport were much

different from last fall's heavy fog
when ten people were killed in the
Hendrick Motorsports plane crash.

OQ=a positive thing. There are no definitive answers

as to what caused the private plane to
crash into the side of Bull Mountain.

NTSB investigators say the plane
was three miles past the airport on a
missed approach, when the air traffic
controllers lost it on radar.

Search crews searched the
mountain on four wheelers but did not
find any survivors.

Days later the debris was being
airlifted off the mountain and
transported to a secure site.

Officials say despite last year's
crash, just as many private jets used
the airport this year.

about a bomb on a commercial flight out
of Roanoke this morning.

All the passengers and crew
aboard the U-S Airways turbo prop bound
for New York were evacuated as a
precaution.

A bomb-sniffing dog was called
in.

State police said "the dog did
NOT hit on anything."

The 34 passengers and their
luggage had to undergo security
screening a second time.

The DASH-8 finally left...
without the young man suspected of
mumbling about a bomb.

The F-B-I was still questioning
him when flight 43-40 took off for
LaGuardia shortly after 2:00.

No charges were filed.

GRAPHIC=School Bus Accident The 18 year old driver who

slammed into a Bedford County school
bus this afternoon *is* charged with
reckless driving.

State police say Sean Charles
Haskins of Forest lost control of his

car and hit the bus on Hooper Road near
Jefferson Forest High School.

There were about two dozen
students on the bus.

A spokesman for Bedford County
schools says four of them were
transported to Lynchburg General
Hospital though their injuries appeared
to be minor.

Haskins was also hurt and taken
to the hospital.

plead guilty.

Rather than face a death
sentence, the Associated Press says
Eric Rudolph, will receive four life
sentences.

Rudolph's charged with the
Atlanta bombing and three other
explosions They include a blast at an
Alabama abortion clinic that killed an
off-duty police officer in 1998.

The two other bombings occurred
in Atlanta in 1997; one at a lesbian
bar and one at a building that housed
an abortion clinic.

Rudolph spent more than 5 years
as a fugitive.

He was captured in Murphy, North
Carolina in 2003.

Meningitis, which is rare, but *can*

A mallard duck has set up her nest

in front of the main entrance to the
Treasury Department.

The Secret Service put up
guardrails around the duck and her nine
eggs.

It also posted a sign posted asking
people to be quiet around the nesting
area.

The duck's location has become a
'nesting place' for tourists to stop
