A school bus accident in Bedford
County sent four students to the
hospital.

afternoon on Hooper Road, about a
half-mile from Jefferson Forest High
School.

State police say a car hit a bus
carrying close to 2-dozen students.

A spokesman for Bedford County
schools says four of them were
transported to Lynchburg General as a
precaution; their injuries appear to be
minor.

Two of them are 7th-graders from
Forest Middle School; the other two are
freshmen at Jefferson Forest High
School.

The driver of the car was also
hurt and taken to the hospital.

They say the couple kidnapped their

Gate with guns drawn.

Authorities in North Carolina had
gotten a tip.

department a female student fell ill
this week at Pulaski High School.

She's listed in stable condition
at a local hospital.

Health officials believe they are
dealing with a case of Meningitis,
which is a serious infection of the
fluid in the spinal cord and brain.

But they are waiting on test
results to see if she has the most
seroius form of the illness, Bacterial
Meningitis, which is very rare, but can
be treated.

about a bomb on a commercial flight out
of Roanoke this morning.

precaution.

A bomb-sniffing dog was called
in. State police said "the dog did NOT
hit on anything."

The 34 passengers and their

without the young man suspected of
mumbling about a bomb.


The F-B-I was still questioning
him when flight 43-40 took off for
LaGuardia shortly after 2:00.

first felony prosecution for spamming

was sentenced today to nine years in
prison.

But the Loudoun County judge
postponed the sentence for 30-year-old
Jeremy Jaynes while the case is
