Bodies of other popes are nearby.

The funeral was attended by hundreds of
thousands in St. Peter's square. It
drew pilgrims

from all over the world. A French
priest traveled 24 hours to attend.

A woman from Illinois canceled her
vacation to see the funeral of the man
she called "the greatest father figure"

in her life.

school to close this morning.

Students at Dublin Elementary
School were sent home early.

Custodians found the damage early
this morning, but school buses were
already running.

So, it was too late to cancel
before school started.

Officials won't describe the
vandalism but do say that it's
"extensive."

broken.

in a Radford drug ring.

The judge sentenced 26-year-old
Crystal Stigger of Christiansburg and
38-year-old Joseph Smith the Third of
Pulaski to ten years.


Twenty-one-year-old Wayne Baker of
Pulaski will serve just

over ten years and 60-year-old Earl
Mills of Harrisburg,

Pennsylvania, was sentenced to a little
more than eight years.

As part of the plea agreement, the
defendants admitted the were part of a
group that sold cocaine in the New
River Valley in 2002 and 2003.

The four were indicted along with
ten others accused of drug trafficking
and gang activity.

Three more defendants will be
sentenced in May.

a human finger in a bowl of chili that
she purchased from a Wendy's in San
Jose, California.

Yesterday police in Las Vegas
searched Ayala's Las Vegas home.

Police say they are suspicious that
finger, possibly from a corpse, may
have been intentionally placed in the
chili.

add on to the current jail site in
downtown Salem.

The study says doing so could create
flooding problems and would be too

costly.

Renovation would cost more than 47
million while a new jail would cost
more than 88 million.

But the study says the county would
save more than 2 million dollars a year
simply by eliminating 50 positions with
a new jail.

a rehab start for Triple-A Pawtucket
yesterday.

The Boston ace was rocked for
eleven hits, including a pair of
homers, a double and a triple against
Indianapolis.

But Schilling said he felt strong
and thought he would dominate after
feeling fantastic in the bullpen.
