Breaking news at this hour from
Lynchburg, where school officials say
two students have recently been
diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.
One attends Linkhorne Middle
School, the other Bedford Hills
Elementary.
Educators say there is "no"
eminent risk of the disease spreading
to other students, and that they are
sending home letters to parents warning
of the situation.
Local health officials are "not"
recommending any antibiotic treatment
for students or staff who may have come
into contact with the affected children
in a casual situation. We will have

The men were arrested last year in
England in a separate terror
investigation.

Because of that, last August the
Government raised the risk for a
terrorist attack in New York and
Washington to high-while the rest of
the country remained at elevated.
Before the three can be tried in the
United States-they will first faces
the charges in England-after that a
Justice department official says the
U-S will try to extradite them here.

hospitalized tonight after being hit by
his mothers car.
The incident happened at around
11:30 this morning in the 13-hundred
block of Grissom Lane in Blacksburg.
The boys mother didn't realize
the child had gotten out of the vehicle
while she ran into the house.
The boy was airlifted to Roanoke
Memorial Hospital.
No charges have been filed and
the incident is still under
investigation.

that the accuser's family was held at
Jackson's estate against their will.

staff announced that Marcus Vick has
been elevated on the depth chart to
co-number one status along side Sean
Glennon.
Vick, Glennon and Cory Holt have
all had their moments this spring and
Glennon thinks the evaluation process
is being handled well by quarterbacks'
coach Kevin Rogers.

taken the first step in allowing
Division One and Division One Double A
schools to play 12 football games each
season.

The NCAA Division I Management
Council backed the legislation today
that if given final approval would
begin next year with the 2006 season.
The NCAA Board of Directors has the
final word on April 28. The ACC
opposed the 12th game idea because the
member schools felt it interfered with
academics - saying the season already
is long enough.

Iron Mike will fight on June 11th
at the MCI Center in downtown DC
against Kevin McBride.
The 38-year-old Tyson is 50-and-5

last three fights.
