He's expected to plead guilty to three
other bombings in Atlanta, including
the one at the 1996 Olympics. The
husband of a woman who died in that

Rudolph's demeanor at this morning's
hearing.

his mother's car is in stable
condition.
Police say the child is awake,
improving and expected to recover from
his head injuries.
Yesterday morning 35 year old
Deborah Norman ran over her child as
she was backing out of the garage of
her home on Grissom Lane.
Investigators say they are still
not sure where the child was or how he
was hit.
No charges have been placed, but
police are still investigating.
They expect to wrap up the case
later this week.

they've busted up a counterfeiting
operation.
34 year old Joseph Steven
Caviness (ca-vuh-ness) was arrested
Tuesday and faces several charges
including forgery of a bank note and
possession of a forgery device.
The sheriff's office along with
the Secret Service and several other
agencies searched his home.
Investigators say they found
evidence that linked him to several
fake bills passed at business around
the county.
Caviness was released on bond.
Authorities say more charges
could be placed.

GRAPHIC=FLU scrambling to destroy vials of a deadly
ENG#=1 flu strain from 1957 that killed up to
four MILLION people.
Some was sent to a lab in Richmond,
but officials there say the sample was
destroyed Monday.

Bioscience Incorporated in Ohio,
distributed samples of the killer
influenza strain. The strains were sent
in kits that labs use for quality
control tests.
The World Health Organization is urging
the five thousand labs in 18 countries

So far there have not been any reports
of illnesses relating to the shipment
of the influenza.

high schools.
Last night, the school board voted to

Administrators cite several reasons

convince an FDA Panel its silicone
implants were safe enough to reverse 13

Inamed argued its implants were

implants for about three years.

were still too many unanswered
questions about how often and why the

GRAPHIC=VMI Virginia Military Institute has a
new head basketball coach.
GRAPHIC=DUGGAR Duggar (DOOGAR) Baucom (BOCK-um)
has been hired to the lead the Keydets
back to respectability.
Baucom, who is 44 years old. has
been the head coach at Tusculum
College, in Tennessee the past two
seasons.
He also coached against VMI at
two Southern Conference schools as an
assistant at Davidson and Western
Carolina.

He replaces Bart Bellairs, who
led VMI basketball for 11 seasons and
produced 116 wins.
The Keydets haven't had a winning
season since the 1997-98 campaign.
This past season the Keydets were
just 9 and 18 overall and only 3 and 13
in the Big South - plus they failed to
qualify for the conference's postseason
tournament.

Spring Practice On Monday the Tech coaching staff
announced that Marcus Vick has been
elevated on the depth chart to
co-number one status along side Sean
Glennon.
Vick, Glennon and Cory Holt have
all had their moments this spring and
Glennon thinks the evaluation process
is being handled well by quarterbacks'
coach Kevin Rogers.

are looking to get back and this time
