Police arrested Michael Paul Collins
just before noon, after he walked out
of a house on Cedar Hill Drive.
He's charged with shooting a 14
year old girl last night as she tried
to protect her mother.

a double shooting in West Virginia.
Authorities say 21 year old Herman
Lee Estes of Bassett shot two brothers
early yesterday morning outside a
convenience store in Ghent, West
Virginia.
One of the men died.

The 13-year-old allegedly killed his
friend after being teased over losing a
baseball game.

The victim -- 15-year-old Jeremy Rourke
-- was hit in the head with a baseball
bat last night and pronounced dead at a
hospital. He was a spectator at the

A coach says the boy is known as
competitive, but not violent.
The two teens reportedly had no
history of problems.

Ohio State defensive coordinator Mark
Snyder has been introduced to them as
the Thundering Herd's new football
coach.
Snyder, a former Marshall player,
met with the players at 8 a-m.
Snyder told them interim football
coach Larry Kueck keck will remain a
member of his staff.
Kueck also had interviewed for
the job and ran the team's spring
practices after nine-year coach Bob
Pruett retired last month.
Snyder lettered one season at
Marshall, in 1987. He still holds the
school record for interceptions in a
season with ten.
