Water authorities are estimating
it will be about five hours until the

shooting his 14-year-old girlfriend
made his first court appearance.

Yesterday 28-year old Michael Paul Collins
was arraigned yesterday on charges of
aggravated malicious wounding and
possession of a firearm by a convicted
felon.
According to court documents,
Collins once pulled out a gun at a
Blacksburg night club and at one time,
set fire to his jail cell.
Police say he got into an
argument with his girlfriend's mother
Wednesday night and started shooting.
His girlfriend was shot in the
stomach.
The teen was last listed in
stable condition at Roanoke Memorial
Hospital.

last August- when state authorities
raided the place.
At the time, it appeared he was
simply short-changing customers-
-replacing one drug for another when he
would run out of something.

Medicaid by filing claims for an entire
Adult Home.
For two and a half years,
Lineberry continued to collect

charged with the attempted murder of
her five-year-old.

Jennings Petrosky called authorities
after she apparently tried to drown her
child.

at the home, but it remains in critical
condition at a hospital.
If the child dies, charges

She's currently held without
bond.
An arraignment is set for April

life in prison when he's sentenced in a
Salt Lake City courtroom- June sixth.
Lori Hacking vanished last July
as the couple was packing for a move to
North Carolina, where her husband said
he was going to attend medical school.
Police say Hacking killed his
wife after she'd confronted him over
lying about his education and plans to
become a doctor.
It turns out he hadn't been
accepted -or even applied to the
medical school.

students are banding together to aid
children in need in Afghanistan.

R-O-T-C has spent the past few weeks
gathering clothes and school supplies
for children in Afghanistan.
One of their former members now
serves with the U-S Army there and she
sent an e-mail asking for help.
