called 9-1-1 after allegedly choking
her six year-old son -- and then
putting him in the bathtub.

*Petrosky* used to live in South
Roanoke, on Stanely Avenue.

Former neighbors refused to go on
camera -- but did say the family was
nice, and somewhat sociable.

A friend says the family moved to
Bristol after the husband accepted a
job there-- and the oldest daughter
went off to U-V-A.

Petrosky is being held without
bond.

She faces charges of attempted
capital murder and felony child abuse.

Recreation Association have decided to
sell the property.

A spokesperson for the group says
they can't afford to make necessary
repairs to the dam, which is NOT up to
code.

The group has stressed the new
owners must maintain the lake
community.

This week a state engineer and
the community's engineer will meet to
see if there are any *other* options.

The community was originally
cited for problems-- including trees
and grass near the dam, cleaning up
debris and fixing an emergency spillway
that doesn't meet minimum standards.

that destroyed a school this morning in
Arkansas.
