Marine Captain James Edge was
killed by enemy fire last Thursday
during combat in Ramadi.

has been suspended over a knife
incident aboard a school bus.

Bus 69 was heading toward
Collierstown Friday afternoon, when a
16-year old allegedly assaulted a
middle school student with a knife.

The alleged assailant was held
over the weekend. The judge released
the boy to his mother's custody this
morning.

The suspect has been suspended
indefinitely from Rockbridge High while
school officials continue their
investigation.

The 11-year old victim was cut on
her neck and forearm, though she did
not require medical attention.

She was back in class at Maury
River Middle School today.

It's unclear what prompted the
incident.

wife died the same day last week in
Rockbridge County. Major Phillip

Dedrick, Senior was found dead in his
bed. He was 68.

His 53 year old wife Ruth Hite
Painter Dedrick was on the couch.

Springs Apartments north of Lexington.

PHILLIP Dedrick had an oxygen
mask on, as he usually did at night.
The machine was running normally.

RUTH Dedrick was said to be

There was no obvious indication
how they died. The medical examiner
has found no apparent cause, yet,

excavating back in June and as you can
see a lot of progress has been made
since then.

What you're seeing is the
making of a 90-thousand square foot
building... 3 times the size of the
current museum.

The building will consist of
three floors.

A ground floor which will house
an education center.

A main floor which will include
the exhibits

And the top floor where there will
be offices for the museum staff and
researchers.

In essence the new museum will be
made up of two buildings, connected by
what officials are calling the Great
Hall.

That room will have a dual
purpose as an exhibit hall by day and a
banquet hall by night.
