Mountain.
They say the fire is contained, but
they're using a helicopter to drop
water on the blaze.

Another sinkhole opened up this morning
on Trinity Road -- right in the same
spot where one opened last week.
V-Dot says this hole is about 35-feet
deep-- almost as big as the other one,
and that the two are related.
The road has been closed while crews
work to fill it with rocks and cement.
There's no word yet on when it will
reopen.
Officials say sinkholes of this size,
especially back to back, are unusual.

abuse of an 11-year-old girl has landed
a Lynchburg man in jail, facing child
pornography charges.
The alleged incident occurred in
March.

Lynchburg police searched the home
of 70-year-old Joseph Anthony Dapron
last week and seized a large quantity
of child pornography material.
Three children from the central
Virginia area were identified as
victims from those photographs.
Dapron now faces twenty counts of

supervisor of officials. Fred Barakat
who had to listen to all the coaches
complain about the basketball officials
has resigned. He worked for the A-C-C
for 24 years, also serving as the A-C-C
basketball tournament director, setting
the hoops schedule and developing a TV
package.

Williams could have gone to the N-F-L
but he decided to come back to Virginia
Tech for one more go around with the
Hokies. And it could be a season in
which Williams picks up some individual
hardware. Williams is one of 42
players up for the Lott Trophy which is
given to the defensive player that has
the most impact on and off the field.
The award is in honor of N-F-L Hall of
Famer, Ronnie Lott.

bloom for at least another week, but
the air over Lynchburg's Old City
Cemetery was filled with rose petals
today.

The Cemetery recreated an event
from 1941 where thousands of petals
were dropped from an airplane on
Memorial Day.
Today, most of the six boxes of
petals drifted off in the breeze, but
dozens of people came out to enjoy the
sunshine and to celebrate Garden Day.
