Vijay Singh was voted into the
World golf hall of fame today. He has
25 victories on the PGA Tour, three
major championships and late last year
reached the number one ranking in the
world. Players from the PGA Tour
require 65 percent of the vote for
election.

Singh only got 56 percent, but
got in because two years ago Hall of
Fame officials said that if no one gets
65 percent, the player with the most
votes will be elected provided he is on

at least 50 percent of the ballots.

Highlanders vs. Hokies An assortment of fans :00 representing both schools turned out
tonight for the battle of Prices Fork
Road.

The Highlanders would strike
first as outfielder Matt Mantione
grounds one to short. The fielder's
choice will plate Jesse Ross from third
and RU is in front 1-to-nothing.

But that's all they would get.
In the second, the Hokies Nate Parks -

the sophomore from Glenvar - hits one
to the wall in center field. The shot
drive in Matt Foley from second to tie
the game at one-a-piece.

The Hokies would score three more
before Matt Hacker ended any *CG final Radford suspense. He rips the three run homer 1 over the wall. Hacker also would hit a Virginia Tech triple tonight to power the Tech 7 offense as the Hokies beat Radford 7 Runs in 2nd Inning 7-to-1.
