fighting a wildfire got a little help
from mother nature last night, and a
chance to get some rest.

The wildfire crews that fought
the blaze on Turkeycock mountain were
all accounted for when they met back at
the Snow Creek Fire and Rescue station.

Earlier in the day flare-ups were
plaguing the crews as they fought to
contain the blaze.

Smoke billowed off the mountain
as crews lit containment fires
surrounding the main fire.

For one crew of virginia tech
wildlife science science majors, the
fire was one test of their skills that
they did not want to fail.

along a three-mile stretch of Masons
Creek.

This following chemical spill
earlier this week.

Novozymes on Kesler Mill Road.

Salem's fire Chief says the
company installed a floor drain that
officials believed drained into the
sewer system, but actually drained into
Masons Creek.

HazMat teams contained the spill,
but Salem officials caution residents
to stay out of Masons Creek until
further notice.

Novozyms president says he
"really regrets" what happened, and
says the company will do whatever it
takes to prevent it from happening
again.

the death of her child.

yesterday fighting a wildfire blaze in
Franklin County were able to go home
last night for some much needed rest.

The fire crews fought the blaze
on Turkeycock mountain throughout the
day and had it pretty well contained by

the evening.

Flare-ups were occurring in spots
across the ridge line however by night
fall rain showers began to move in and
douse the mountain blaze.

That gave crews the chance to
come off the mountain for the night.

Officials say thanks to the
moisture they will only need a skeleton
crew on the mountain today in order to
get the fire under control.

Anna Ayala (AH-jah-LA) was taken into
custody Thursday night at her Las Vegas
home. Police will release more details
this afternoon.

On March 22, Ayala told police she
found a well-manicured finger in her
chili while eating at a Wendys in San
Jose.

She originally said she was going to
sue, but later dropped the claim.

Ayala has a record making claims
against corporations, including her
former employer, General Motors.

An investigation by Wendys found that
no one from the company is missing any
fingers.

Franklin County were able to go home
last night for some much needed rest.

The fire crews fought the blaze
on Turkeycock mountain throughout the
day and had it pretty well contained by
the evening.

Flare-ups were occurring in spots
across the ridge line, however, by
night fall rain showers began to move
in and douse the mountain blaze.

That gave crews the chance to
come off the mountain for the night.

Officials say thanks to the
moisture they will only need a skeleton
crew on the mountain today in order to

get the fire under control.

still reeling from devastation and
shock.

state increased the charges against her
to Capitol Murder.

Police allege Petrosky choked
her 6 year od son last Friday until
he passed out then held him underwater
in the bathtub.

One neighbor says Tim was his
pharmacist- he says the family took
walks together and seemed very close.
