Lynchburg vs. Roanoke A great crowd considering the
:00 weather and the chilly temps tonight at
the Moyer.
The fans would see another strong
pitching performance in relief by the
Maroon's Emily Rackley. Here in the
sixth with the game tied at 3-all -
she will strike out back to back
batters. Rackley would get her third
win of the tournament - all in relief -
and earn Most Outstanding Player
honors.

Lynchburg vs. Hampden-Sydney The wind was whipping and
:00 swirling at Salem Memorial which gave
outfielders more than a couple of
anxious moments.
And oh yes, there also was a
brief period of heavy snow flurries to
add to the unbearable conditions for
fans, as well.
Lynchburg took a two to nothing
lead, but Hampden Sydney right back in
it in the third. An error allowed
Heritage product Josh Apperson to stay
on base, and he made the Hornets pay,
as senior Michael Clark finds a hole
between third and short, and Apperson
will motor around and score to make it
a 2-to-1 game.
Another key Lynchburg error in
the fourth on what should have been a
routine putout in the infield allowed
Hampden Sydney to tie the game. First
baseman Tommy Burk will tag on Luke
Brankley's sacrifice to right and slide
in to make it a 2-all game after four
innings.
But Lynchburg would rally back
itself in the fifth inning. The pass
ball will allow Cave Spring product
Eric O'Brien to race home from third
and put the Hornets in front 3-to-2.

3 But Hampden Sydney would not be
Hampden-Sydney denied. The sixth seed would get two
4 runs in the seventh and a strong

by Arizona with the 10th pick in the
fourth round.
Two more UVa players went in the

the talented tailback was taken with
the 127th overall pick by the Jaguars.
