The new Jumbo-Jet made its debut
over Southern France.

The A-380 is a monster of an
airplane which cost billions to
develop.

It stands nearly seven stories
high and can hold between 550 and 840
passengers.

Critics say airports won't be
able to accomodate such a huge plane
without spending hundreds of millions
to widen taxiways and revamp gates.

Testing will last about a year
before Singapore Airlines is scheduled
to

begin service.
