43- year- old Juan Castillo
(cas-TEE-yo) was scheduled to go on
trial yesterday, but by late afternoon
he entered pleas of no contest to
breaking and entering with a deadly
weapon, and misdemeanor assault.

According to investigators,
Castillo broke into a home on Wood
Haven Road in August, 1988 and held a
knife to the throat of a ten year old
girl.

The case wasn't solved until last
year when a national database found a
match for fingerprints collected at the
crime scene.
