vanished just a few days before she is

Her family says it's "totally
uncharacteristic of her behavior" to be
out of touch so long.

Her fiance, John Mason, says
Wilbanks went jogging Tuesday night. He

after a couple of hours.

Hundreds of volunteers began
searching for her yesterday.

Police have checked along the banks

reports of glass panes shattering on

injuries have been reported.

prostitution.

Swain was arrested last Thursday. He's
been charged with prostitution which is
a misdemeanor.

Reached by phone last night,
Swain told News Seven that -quote- it
was a misunderstanding. He referred
all further questions to his attorney

Swain served four years on
Roanoke City Council, but failed to win
re-election in 2000.

money and awareness. In its five years
of existence 100 thousand dollars has
been collected to help curb Roanoke's
dropout rate. Over than span of time
more than 400 world be dropouts have
returned to school.

And it's that social aspect of
the Classic that would be a real shame
to lose.

Lea had high hopes of bringing in
Virginia Union and Winston Salem State
this year.

A matchup that would certainly
draw a huge crowd.

It still might happen, but not if
the city leaders simply throw up some
bleachers around the track and bring in
porta johns.
