Crews today will return to the scene of
a train derailment in Radford.

They're expected to remove the cars
sometime this morning.

The eight car train toppled over
yesterday around 4 o-clock on a
industrial track in the west end of
town.

Fire officials say it happened while
crews were unloading salt. In all five
cars are on there side, a few of them
still teetered against a tree.

Crews roped off the scene and alerted
neighbors at a nearby apartment
complex and church to the situation.

in Roanoke.

It happened around four o'clock
yesterday near the Valley View
Boulevard exit.

State Police say a pickup truck
heading north hit one vehicle, then
crossed the median and hit three more

on the southbound side.

In all, five vehicles were involved.
Four people ended up in the hospital.

None of the injuries appear life
threatening.

State Police are investigating
whether the pickup driver from
Bridgewater had a medical condition
which may have led to the accident.

pled guilty to a double homicide in
Danville seven and a half years ago.

A federal judge in Roanoke heard
evidence of Walton's mental capacity,
but Judge Sam Wilson cleared the way
for Walton's execution.

Yesterday, a federal appeals
court overturned Judge Wilson's
decision and sent the case back to him
to consider what the court cites as
"Walton's 'limitations in adaptive
behavior' before age 18."

Wendy's says profits sank nearly
3-percent from last year. Sales at the
fast food chain were hurt by inclement
weather and an incident in San Jose,
Calif., last month in which a female
customer claimed she found a finger in
a bowl of chili.

Police have since arrested the woman
for concocting the whole story.

Bedford County trailer park guilty on
nine counts of violating the Clean
Water Act.

other pollutants from the Hardy Road
Trailer Park into Sandy Creek, which
then flows into the Roanoke River and

April 13 This was the scene in a Roanoke
County tree top more than two-weeks
ago- a crying cat alerted neighbors to
its plight.

After five-days in a tree and a
few in foster care, the fiesty feline
has been reunited with his owner.

His owner tells us this isn't
Gus-Gus' first encounter with a tree
and it may not be his last.

He was perched in a neighborhood
tree for 8-days after the reminant of a
hurricane came through the area last
year.

Crews today will return to the scene of
a train derailment in Radford.

They're expected to remove the cars
sometime this morning.

Fire officials say it happened while
crews were unloading salt. In all five
cars are on there side, a few of them
still teetered against a tree.

complex and church to the situation.

State Police say a pickup truck
heading north hit one vehicle, then

crossed the median and hit three more
on the southbound side.

In all, five vehicles were involved.

State Police are investigating
whether the pickup driver from
Bridgewater had a medical condition
which may have led to the accident.
