home safely, one day after her
biological father allegedly kidnapped
her from her bed.

was found safe around 2:30 this
afternoon at a home on 15th Street in
Lynchburg.
An anonymous tip led police to the
apartment where they found the girl and
her father, 20-year-old Andre Shane
Lee.

girlfriend's home on Pierce Street
Tuesday and taken the child.
He's been charged with burglary

investigation into last night's
shooting of a wanted man in
Christiansburg.

Greg Todd Akers was wanted in
Montgomery and Floyd Counties on
several felonies including robbery and
abduction.

Last Night After being on the run for two
weeks, someone spotted Akers in
Christiansburg at the Hunan House.
Police surrounded the area and
tried to capture him.
Officials say Akers got in his
car and allegedly attempted to run over
two officers who in turn, opened fire.
Akers was shot and taken to
Montgomery Regional Hospital.
State Police are now
investigating.

giving to an injured firefighter,

on site all the time, but they have

Ron Haniwalt is a beekeeper who takes
hives to farmers who need them.
