GRAPHIC=Shooting The target of a Pulaski County manhunt

two weeks ago, was apparently wounded
last night in Christiansburg.

He was shot in a confrontation with
law enforcement officers,

Todd Akers.

The man underwent surgery overnight,
but there's no word on his condition
this morning.

investigators were searching the
suspect's car, interviewing witnesses,
and still piecing together exactly what
happened.

videotaping one of his students in a
bathroom without her knowledge has been
sentenced to jail.

Yesterday, a Roanoke County judge
said he considered the incident
extremely serious, and ordered Michael
Lucado (LUCK-uh-doo) to serve 60 days
of a two- year sentence.

Japanese automakers are leaving their
American counterparts in the dust.

General Motors reports an 8 percent
slide in sales last month, led by a
drop in demand for its trucks..at Ford
says fell 5 percent as SUV sale slipped
against a backdrop of higher gas
prices...

But Toyota and Nissan - Japan's two
biggest automakers, said US sales rose
more than 25 percent in April as
consumers snapped up hybrid and
fuel-efficient vehicles.

gas got a little cheaper. The Energy
Department says the national average
fell to 2.24 a gallon this week...
That's still about 39 cents more than
you were paying this time last year.

accused of making a bomb in their dorm
room and setting it off on campus.

Police say the group made a
Molotov cocktail in a Pritchard Hall
dorm room.

A security guard says he caught

No one was injured and no
property was damaged when the bomb went
off.

The students were arrested and
charged with manufacturing an explosive

for two weeks, but last night he was
apparently wounded during a
confrontation with law enforcement.

The suspect is believed to be Greg

Yesterday, a Roanoke County judge

Police had been trying to catch up
with suspect Greg Todd Akers for two
weeks.

Last night, a man believed to be
Akers was injured during a
confrontation with authorities in
Christiansburg.

He was wanted on drug, robbery, and
abduction charges.

a man they believe kidnapped his one-
year- old daughter early yesterday.

They say Andre Shane Lee climbed into
a window and disappeared with his

And, a suicide bombing today in
northern Iraq has claimed the lives of

accused of making a bomb in their dorm
room and setting it off on campus.

Nathan R. Johnson, John C.
Boynton and Zachariah Chait were
arrested early Sunday morning.

Police say the group made a
Molotov cocktail in a Pritchard Hall
dorm room.

A security guard says he caught
the students setting the bomb off in a

parking lot behind Cassell Coliseum.

for two weeks, but last night he was
apparently shot and wounded during a
confrontation with law enforcement.
State Police are investigating and so
far they haven't released many details.

Akers was wanted on several outstanding
warrants including drugs, robbery and

abduction.

20-year-old Andre Shane Lee. They
believe Lee broke into a home on Pierce
Street yesterday morning and kidnapped
his one year daughter Sheanya

Her family is concerned for her

Lee would harm the girl.
