an accident tonight in Roanoke County.

It happened just after nine at
Cloverdale Road and Challenger Avenue.

Officers say an S-U-V was trying to
turn left at a red light -- when a
tractor-trailer hit it.

The female driver of the S-U-V was
taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with
unknown injuries.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was
not hurt.

three people for vandalizing property
downtown.

Officers arrested 18-year old Kurt
Kuper and two other younger teens.

All were charged with felony and
misdemeanor destruction of property.

class.

Tonight's Dodge Charger 500 also
marked the first night race in the
history of the Darlington Raceway.

170 laps in the race. Jeff Gordon and
Jimmie Johnson also spent time out

Kinston tonight 2-1 in game one of a
doubleheader. The Avs and Indians are
currently tied at 3 in the 10th inning

of game number 2.

In Lynchburg, the Hillcats and
Myrtle Beach Pelicans each rapped out
10 hits, but a five run Pelicans first
inning was too much for Lynchburg to
overcome. The Hillcats also had 3
erros on the night. The Pelicans beat
