The relatives of Laura Hobbs, one of
the two young girls found stabbed
to death after they went out for a
Mother's Day bike ride, say police
are questioning her father.

"They still have her father downtown
and every time we call, we can't
get an answer of any kind."
Eight year old Laura and her best
friend, nine year old Krystal Tobias
were found a few yards off a wooded
bike path Monday morning.
According to Laura's grandfather, he
and the child's father, Jerry
Hobbs, discovered the girls bodies.
But he insists his son-in-law, who
recently returned from serving a
prison sentence, is innocent.

I think they are railroading a person
and violating his civil rights. )
Though clothes and computers were
confiscated from the family's home,
police have had little to say about any
developments.
The girls were found fully clothed and
there was no evidence of sexual
assault.

Parents were posted on every corner at
Beulah Park Elementary School.
They escorted students in. Both girls
were second graders here. They
were best friends, one rarely seen
without the other. They were in the
same class.
Shaken parents clutched their children
as grief counsellors were brought
in to help the students.

Yesterday the talk show host
decided to challenge NASCAR driver
Rusty Wallace to a go-cart race.
After taking an early lead, Danza
found out that sometimes it's better to
be in second on the final lap.
Rusty bumped him and flipped him.
Danza was OK, but he should have know
it was coming.

1989 The Winston Wallace fans first got a look at
that move in the 1989 Winston all-star
race at Charlotte when he put Darrell
Waltrip and the Tide Chevy in the spin
cycle.
Rusty went on to win his only
Winston Cup title that year.

Kenney Chesney at "Hello."

VO-NAT A spokeswoman for the actress
confirms Zellweger married the singer
yesterday at his home in the Virgin
Islands.
The marriage is a first for both
and followed a short courtship.
The two met for the first time at
a concert January 15th.
Chesney says Zellweger has been
his favorite actress for a long time.
One of his hit songs, "You had me
at Hello," was based on her role in the
movie Jerry McGuire.
Her publicist is quoted as saying
they are in the very early stages of
getting to know each other.
