Forest High School in Bedford county
stayed home from school today in what
turned out to be a quiet, normal day

found on a stairwell inside the school,
with a date that appeared to be May
11th.

Extra deputies patrolled the
hallways today, and faculty and staff
were on "high alert" ... but the day
passed without incident.

They're still looking for the

car, still plans to attend his
graduation Friday.

According to Blacksburg and
Virginia Tech police, 22 year old
Christopher William Morgan is the
seventh person to be hit by a car in
the town this year.

William Andrew Alexander struck Morgan

County is headed to the Supreme Court
of Virginia.

The Commonwealth's Attorney is now
challenging a judge's decision to name
a replacement, while the prosecutor
serves in Iraq.

Gordon Hannett (HAN-net rhymes
with planet) is a captain in the Army
Reserve recently called to active duty.

He hired Christiansburg attorney
Dennis Nagel as his deputy to run the
office in his absence, but Judge Ray
Grubbs appointed Floyd attorney
Stephanie Murray-Shortt as acting
Commonwealth's Attorney.

In a motion for an expedited
review of the case, Hannett's attorney
wrote that the judge's order is a
matter of great concern to the citizens
of Floyd County.

He said Hannett is unable to carry out
his constitutional duties, and is not
receiving the salary of his office.

CT scan facial reconstructions of
the young pharoah's mummy have produced
images strikingly similar to ancient
models.

The latest shows a baby-faced
young man with chubby cheeks and his
family's characteristic overbite.

The scan was the first conducted
on an Egyptian mummy and suggests King
Tut was a healthy, yet slightly built
19-year-old, standing 5 feet, 6 inches
tall at the time of his death.

Experts recently concluded the

king was not murdered and may have died
