Police in Zion, Illinois arrested Jerry
Hobbs for the stabbing murders of his
eight- year- old daughter Laura and her
nine- year- old friend Krystal Tobias.

Authorities say Hobbs has an
extensive criminal history, and was
recently released from a Texas prison.

However, Hobbs' grandfather say it
was Jerry Hobbs who found the girls'
bodies off a bike trail Monday morning.

by giving them free Frostys. Wendy's
sales fell about 2 percent last month

the story. Wendy's expects to give away
14 million Frostys at this weekend's

promotion.

The Rolling Stones have announced
another mega world tour. The Rolling
Stones On Stage kicks off Aug. 21 at
Fenway Park in Boston

The Stones were the top grossing
touring act of 2003, ringing up just
under $300 million second only to the
band's Voodoo Lounge tour in the 90s,
which took in $320 million.

investigating two shootings.

The first one happened yesterday in the
2400 block of Massachusetts Avenue
around 5:15 P-M.

Dispatchers say the victim was
shot in the leg by an acquaintance. The
suspect apparently followed the victim
to Roanoke Memorial Hospital after the
incident. No word on charges filed.

The second shooting happened on
the 500 block of Day Avenue a few
minutes after 10 P-M.

Police got several calls of shots
fired, and when officers showed up,
they found a man on the sidewalk with a
gunshot wound.

He was taken to Roanoke Memorial
Hospital as well. No word on his
condition.

drug bust this month.

On May 1st, police say they tried
to serve a warrant at a home on 6th
Avenue when officers noticed a bucket
on the porch filled with drug
paraphernalia.

So they got another search
warrant.

No one was home, but inside they
found two firearms, and 89 Marijuana
plants... some up to four feet tall.

So far, no one has been arrested.

of two shooting victims in Roanoke.

The first shooting happened
yesterday in the 2400 block of
Massachusetts Avenue around 5:15 P-M.

Dispatchers say the victim was
shot in the leg by an acquaintance. The
suspect apparently followed the victim
to Roanoke Memorial Hospital after the
incident. No word on charges filed.

The second shooting happened on
the 500 block of Day Avenue a few
minutes after 10 P-M.

Police got several calls of shots
fired, and when officers showed up,
they found a man on the sidewalk with a
gunshot wound.

He was taken to Roanoke Memorial
Hospital as well. No word on his
condition.

Police are investigating.

Hobbs for the stabbing murders of his
eight- year- old daughter Laura and her
nine- year- old friend Krystal Tobias.

Authorities say Hobbs has an
extensive criminal history, and was

However, Hobbs' grandfather say it
was Jerry Hobbs who found the girls'
bodies off a bike trail Monday morning.

Tuesday, but not before it revised the

police takes effect in January.

City employees who attended the budget
meeting were generally pleased with
council''s decision, but they spoke out

lane is blocked.

pornography case in Danville.

Yesterday, police raided three
businesses -- all connected to Kenneth
Holten-- and seized a "significant"
amount of computer equipment.

found stabbed to death in Illinois is
now the suspect.

Jerry Hobbs will appear in court
this morning for a bond hearing.
