FX It was a tough night for Hendrick
:00 Motorsports. First points leader
Jimmie Johnson got spun by Travis
Kvapil, and then before entering the
pits Johnson lost the steering on the
way to his 2nd DNF in three weeks.
Jeff Gordon didn't fare much
better, finishing 39th after going
behind the wall for repairs.
With less than 15 to go, Robby
Gordon played bumper tag with Dale
Jarrett to bring out the final caution
of the night.
Kahne avoided all the mess,
leading 242 laps and holding off Tony
Stewart and Ryan Newman for his first
career win.
