time rolls around.

woman for running a fake adoption
service.
Police have not released the name of
the woman.
But they say she took *tens of
thousands of dollars* from families
over the Internet -- over a two-year
period.
The woman could face charges of fraud
and operating an adoption service
without a license.
Police say so far, about half of the
victims have come forward.

finding a suspect on the loose.
He calls himself "MadMax" and he's
wanted in connection to a burglary and
sexual assault that happened May 5th on
Leesville Road.
The suspect is described as 5-foot-7,
and about 175 pounds. He was last seen
wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt.
Police say based on evidence collected
they believe he smokes Monarch
cigarettes.

Virginia is NOT spending enough money
to promote the upcoming 400th
anniversary of the Jamestown
settlement.
The president of the Virginia Tourism
Corporation said earlier this week that
there's NOT enough marketing money for
the Jamestown 2007 events.
She also said little advertising is
taking place.
The tourism group is NOT in charge of
events marking the 400th anniversary of
the nation's first permanent English
colony.
But, it is working with groups across
the state that hope to profit from the
commemoration.
