bomb making materials and other
chemicals from a North Carolina man.

Christopher Kent was arrested and
charged with having a concealed weapon.

According to investigators, they
spotted Kent and his vehicle on the
side of Highway-58 -- in the Turbeville
community.

Deputies searched the vehicle and
found weapons, explosive materials,
maps and survival equipment.

Authorities in Raleigh, North
Carolina also found chemicals and land
mines at a storage facility.

Kent is in the Halifax County
jail.

He could face more charges.

are working on an adoption scam that
spreads across the coutry.

Campbell County posting ads on adoption
web sites claiming to have children in
need of a home.

200-dollar fee to secure those
children.

But investigators say there are
no children -- it's all a money making
scheme.

the stage in Cameron Hall at Virginia
Military Institute.

He's giving the commencement
speech during graduation later today.

Yesterday, hundreds of cadets
and thousands of spectators paid
tribute to the V-M-I cadets who fought
with condederate soldiers on the New
Market Battlefield.

anniversary to remember the ten fallen

Tech's Athletic department are being
rewarded with nice seats at Lane
Stadium.

Hokie Club donors and their
families are coming to the Stadium to
study *seating charts* and pick their
new seats.

This process will continue
through Wednesday.

Season-ticket holders had
previously been able to keep their same
seats when they renewed their tickets.


But this year, many of them must
move to make room for bigger donors to
the Hokie Club, which is the
fundraising unit of the athletic
department.

Virginia Tech notified those
ticket holders in October of how
they'll allocate the seats.

GRAPHIC=Bush Ahead of the summer travel

season, President Bush is paying a
visit to Virginia today.

Bush plans to visit a biodiesel plant
in West Point that converts soybeans
into fuel.

The appearance is part of the
President's push for a national energy
policy and his support for alternative
fuels.


GRAPHIC=UVA The University of Virgiinia is also

showing its support for alternative
fuels.

U-V-A is testing biodesel fuel in
two of its buses.

The fuel is 20 percent soybean
oil and 80 percent petroleum diesel.


University officials say the fuel
efficiency will be similar, but the
smell and color of the bus exhaust will
be better.

The biodiesel fuel trial started
last week and is expected to last for
at least two months.

If all goes well, buses will
convert totally to the biodiesel fuel
