The school board formed this
committee last month after protests
from parents and students.

Here's how the committee's
recommendation works.

Students would attend their
neighborhood high school for part of
the day.

At some point, they'll all gather at
a central location, most likely a
building at Patrick Henry High School.

There, students will take business
and technical classes.

The school system believe this is a
great compromise because it will keep
the students together in the smaller
learning communities but also give them
more opportunities.

Bruins vs. Spartans Fans from both schools came armed :00 with their noise makers tonight and
they would stay busy as this one was
scoreless in the first half.

Finally in the second half - the

Spartans would take advantage of a
penalty kick opportunity. Captain
Amanda Adams boots it in unassisted and
the Spartans take a one-to-nothing
lead.

The goal fired up Salem, and took
something out of the Bruins. Just a
minute later - *CG final Blacksburg Adams will strike the corner kick and 0 center it right to Lindsey Houchin - Salem who knocks it in for another goal.

Colonels vs. Mountaineers Alleghany fans came out tonight :00 for this one and some even wore the
appropriate head gear in Low Moor.

Mountaineer pitcher Jessi Allman
was a one woman wrecking crew in the
opening game. She struck out all 15
Fleming batters that she faced in the
game. She also went two for three at
the plate with a double and a rbi.

Melinda Vess will hit this one in
the infield. The fielder's choice
chases home Sara Bryant from third.
That would make it a seven to nothing
game in the 5th. *CG final William Fleming
0 Later in the same inning, Ashley Alleghany Nida hits one to short - the error will 10 allow Vicky Martin to come home.
Allman also scores on the play.

The Mountaineers roll past
Fleming tonight 10-to-nothing.
