Workmen cleaning up the site of
the old Virginia Scrap Iron company
near Jefferson Street have found a pile
of old locomotive driving wheels.

The wheel sets weigh about five
tons apiece. They've been donated to
the City by the estate of Virginia
Scrap Iron owner Sam Golden.

Some of the wheels will be
cleaned up, and displayed at the
Railwalk downtown, beside the Norfolk
Southern tracks. (END VO) (END VO)
