Akers at 750 thousand dollars.
Police had been looking for Akers for
over a month on weapons drug and
robbery charges in Floyd County.

during today's morning rush hour, when

starting to cross the tracks.
The cab of the truck was dragged
about a quarter of a mile down the

train received minor injuries.

Chesterfield County authorities say an
alligator is swimming around in Falling
Creek Reservoir.
Animal experts plan to catch the
reptile and relocate it.
They are asking people to stay away
from the reptile, because scaring it
might make it more difficult to capture
it. So far it is not bothering
anybody, and has just been "swimming
around."
A man reported seeing an alligator
in the reservoir
on Saturday.
Gators are not native to Virginia, it
is believed someone released it in the
wild.
