Lynchburg-area real estate developers
who arrived under subpoena were told to
return after lunch as the Grand Jury

have four months to connect their
customers to the same emergency 9-1-1

capabilities as callers with
traditional phone service.

In ordering the change, the Federal
Communications Commission left it up to
the providers to determine how to meet
the new requirement.

The F-C-C voted for the change after
hearing from families who were unable
to reach emergency dispatchers over
Internet phones. A Florida woman
described how her infant daughter died.

Under the order, Internet providers
must make sure 9-1-1 calls are routed
to local emergency dispatchers and must
provide the operator with the
customer's callback number and
location.

tennis team is one win away from
capturing a national championship.

Today at the division three
semi-finals in Kalamazoo, Michigan W&L
fell behind three to nothing and then
rallied to rip off five straight win
their match with MIddlebury.

The Generals are now 22-and-0 and
will play for the title tomorrow.

Roanoke Valley with the same disease
although they too have varying degrees
of disability. But now they all have a
place to turn for help and support.

The Spina Bifida Association of the
Roanoke Valley has taken their cause to
court...the basketball court to raise
awareness. They set up an informational
display at many Dazzle games.
