Today Mayor Carl Hutcherson
responded to the subpoena he received,
showing up at the federal courthouse
along with members of city council.
Campbell County Administrator
David Laurrell came too with a couple
of Lynchburg- area developers.
After about four hours, Mayor
Hutcherson was released from his
subpoena and told he could leave, at
least for now.
His attorney said if Hutcherson
is summoned again, the Mayor will come
back.

Police there are trying to figure
out how it happened.

school had to be evacuated after
officials found a bomb threat there
this morning.
Authorities still aren't sure who
wrote the threat on a stall in a boys
bathroom at Tomahawk Elementary.
A bomb-sniffing dog searched the

Students were out of class for
about an hour.

140-thousand square foot patient tower
at Lynchburg General Hospital.
The addition will add 140 beds to
the hospital's capacity.
To fund the 70-million dollar

million so far.
