died of Legionnaires' Dice after
vacationing in the Outer Banks of North
Carolina.

name, but they say he was 85 years old,
and contracted it from a hot tub at the
rental house where he was staying.
Health Department officials in
North Carolina say three other family
members of the victim showed symptoms
of the disease, and are now being
treated with antibiotics.
Officials say the infected hot
tub has been quarantined, and is being
thoroughly sterilized with heavy doses
of chlorine.

thousands of customers in Blacksburg,
Montgomery County and Radford.
AEP had two major problems this
morning.
The first happened around 8:00 when a
squirrel got into a piece of electrical
equipment.
It knocked out power to almost six
thousand people in Blacksburg and
Montgomery County.
The power was restored around 11:00.

Then a pole snapped near exit 109,
and dropped power lines across
Interstate 81.
Crews have been able to restore
power to about 900 customers in the
Radford area.
130 customers, including the NRV
Medical Center, will be without power
until at least 5:00 this afternoon.
