this case every single night:

SOT Jay Leno " The accuser and his

brother were breaking into the wine

cellar at Neverland. If you knew you
had to sleep with Michael Jackson,

you'd get loaded, too."

But Jay Leno may hold a very important
key to Michael Jackson's

defense...and this week...

(SUPER: Santa Maria, CA)

he is expected to come to Santa Maria
to say that the boy accusing

Jackson of abusing tried to become a
part of Leno's life, too... At his

mother's behest.

(SUPER: Artist: Bill Robles)

The boy denied ever even calling Leno
when he testified at the beginning

of this trial.

(SUPER: Michael Cardoza/Attorney-Court
Observer)

SOT Michael Cardoza "If Leno comes into

this courtroom and says in fact

he did have a conversation with the
accuser, it's going to be pivotal."

But Leno brings a level of curiosity
beyond just what he might say:

(SUPER: Susan Filan/Fmr
Prosecutor-Court Observer)

SOT Susan Filan "When someone like Jay

Leno walks into the courtroom,

somebody who's in your bedroom every
night, who makes you laugh, and you

see him up close and personal, that
might have some effect on them, some

relief from the tedium of working on
the case. But in the end, they're

gonna assess his credibility just like
everybody else's."

Whatever the jury thinks of him, it
appears that Leno will be one of the

last defense witnesses: They lost a key
witness on Friday regarding the

conspiracy charge against Jackson when
the judge refused to grant him

immunity. Prosecutors say they've been
told Jackson's side could wrap

up as early as the middle of this
week...most likely without Jackson

himself testifying. Sandra Hughes, CBS

72 and tied for 4th place, but finished
with a bang.

Check out the birdie effort at the
18th, right in the hole.

Blair Lamb of Flat Rock, North
