Maryland man has been dropping spare
change into a couple of five-gallon
water jugs.

The Examiner of Fort Washington
is reporting that Jeffrey Knight took
the loot a credit union in Herndon,
Virginia the other day, and asked
stunned employees to help him cart his
treasure inside to count it.

Five hours later, Knight left
with a small fortune: 88-hundred bucks.

The credit union says it was the
largest coin deposit in its history.

military is being honored with a coin
for the first time in US history.

The US Mint plans to issue a
commemorative silver dollar to salute
the 230th anniversary of the Marine
Corp.

One side will feature the flag
raising at Iwo Jima.

The other will sport the official
Marine Corps emblem of eagle, globe and
anchor as well as the Corps' motto,
Semper Fidelis.

The coin will go on sale in July.
