Tuesday night he found himself on
the wrong end of a gun.

Police say Dubois was shot several
times during an attempted robbery and

make an arrest.

One of the tracks hardest hit by the
outbreak is Wonderland Greyhound Park
in Massachusetts. Sixteen dogs have
died since the beginning of May and
dozens have been sick. There is still
some debate on the exact cause of the
illnesses. But Virginia Tech's Dr.
Fenwick says the research shows it's
kennel cough. He says most dogs don't
die from it but it can lead to serious
infections like pneumonia.

effects of macular degeneration. It's
a disease which causes the progressive
loss of central vision.



Kelly is blind in his left eye and his
sight is 20/200 in his right. He
carries a cane, even if admittedly -he
doesn't use it like he's supposed to...

season high 4 straight games heading
into this morning's game against
Kinston.

with a 10 A.M. start it was a perfect
day for a field trip for the local
school kids.

The Avs didn't seem to be awake for
this one, in the fourth Mario Matulich
for Kinston hits one to left center
that goes all the way to the wall and
almost hits Robin Reed's Picture. 2
runs would come into score to give the
Indians the lead.

Salem looked like a team that wasn't
used to being up early. The Avs were
held to just 1 hit in the game. That

came in the 6th when Wade Robinson
would triple down the right field line.
He would score 2 batters latter on a
R-B-I ground out by Scott Robinson, to
make the score 2 to 1.

Kinston would put an end to the Avs
winning streak with a big 8th inning.
