Fox Sports Early in the race, defending Cup :00 champ Kurt Busch spins into the turn 2
wall, ending his night just 25 miles
in.

The bump draft was a popular move
tonight. First Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
runs right over his teammate Michael
Waltrip, collecting Matt Kenseth along
the way.

Then late in the race at nearly
the same spot on the track, Brian
Vickers gives Bill Elliott some love.
Those two guys along with Jeff Gordon,
Mark Martin, Elliott Sadler, and Kevin
Harvick fell out of contention.

Joe Nemechek cut down a tire
while leading with 10 laps to go. That
brought out the 22nd caution of the
night, setting an all time yellow flag
record.

That setup a shootout between
Bobby Labonte and Jimmie Johnson.

Johnson got past the 18 on the high
side and had just enough to nip Labonte
at the line for his 3rd consecutive win
in the 600.

Yellow Jackets vs. Cavaliers The Cavs trailed Georgia Tech 2-1 :00 in the fourth, but Cave Spring product
Tom Hagan tied things up with one swing
of the bat. Hagan rapped a two out
homer the opposite way. It was his
very first dinger of the season and the
only one by Virginia in the tourney.

UVA grabbed the lead in the 5th
when Ryan Zimmerman grounded out to the
right side of the infield, but that was
good enough to bring in Tim Henry to
make it 3-2.

The Cavs had pitching trouble
in the 7th, walking in the tying run,

before Pat McAnaney uncorks the pitch
in the dirt. That allowed the Jackets
to score what turned out to be the game
winning run. *CG final Georgia Tech Georgia Tech nipped Virginia 4 to 3. 4 The Cavs will find out later tonight if Virginia they will get to host an NCAA Regional.

base line. The rundown was textbook by

from third for a three run cushion. *CG final Potomac
