In a country where we are often accused
of forgetting to remember-on

this Memorial Day we remembered not to
forget.

Herb Robb/USMC Vet-Korean War:

"It's important that the nation know
that freedom is not free, and victory
is not easy. We have to sacrifice to
gain both."

Wrapped up in red white and blue-and

lost in a sea of Stars and
Stripes-America saluted its fallen
soldiers.

KILLI HARRELL/WIDOW:

"PEOPLE SACRIFICE THEIR LIVES EVERY DAY
SO THAT WE CAN ENJOY DAYS LIKE

TODAY."

Days like this when small town America
was filled with pomp and circumstance.

Days like this when one Indiana field
sprouted old glory.

And days like this--when a young
soldier-visibly scarred from recent
battle-could bask in the sunlight while

sitting on the hallowed grounds of
Arlington Cemetery and watch the
President of the United States lay a
wreath on the tomb of the unknowns.

PRESIDENT BUSH: "THE FAMILIES THAT COME
HERE HAVE SCARIFIED SOMETHING PRECIOUS
AND

IRREPLACEABLE IN THEIR LIVES AND OUR
NATION WILL ALWAYS HONOR THEM."

DREW LEVINSON/WASHINGTON, DC:

"AND WHILE AMERICA HONORS THE DEAD-WE
CONTINUE TO HONOR THOSE AMERICANS

STILL FIGHTING-HALF A WORLD AWAY.

DREW LEVINSON, CBS NEWS, WASHINGTON."

(END SOT) Summer is nearly upon us and so is the

pressure to have the perfect tan!

For Alison Grambs the answer is in
this little tube...

SOT: Alison Grambs/Self-tanner

"I like the idea that I'm in control of
my tan using these products I

can determine how much I put on and how
dark I get"

Alison is talking about self-tanners.
And with the effects of sun damage

widely documented, more and more
people are turning to them as a safe

alternative.

Alexis Christoforous ON-Camera Bridge:
"Sales of self-tanners are

sizzling, raking in over 100-million
dollars in 2003, that's up nearly

70 percent in just five years."

But choosing one of these self-tanners
can be overwhelming.

SOT: Dr. Doris Day, Dermatologist

"Everyone's racing to find the one
that's going to make them less orange

or less streaky or go on better and
that's why you have so many

choices."

The hot new trend - self-tanning
"moisturizers" - that give you color

gradually, without the pesky streaking
and discoloration.

A cult-like following has erupted for
Jergen's moisturizing tanner.

SOT: Rosie Savino, Walgreens

"Well, we had about 25 pieces and it
basically sold out in 24 hours."

Demand is so strong, Jergens has a
wait list 20-thousand long on its

website!

Bidding wars have even broken out on
ebay, where a 7.5 ounce tube

recently sold for 8-95 , 50 percent
more than the retail price.

Sot: Alison Grambs/Self-tanner

"I think I feel like a lot of people,
I feel better when I have a

little bit of a tan and my clothes look
better."

The popularity of drugstore tanners
like Jergens, Coppertone and

Neutrogena are stealing market share
from their pricier department store

rivals.. and giving the tanning booth
business and mother nature a run

for their money.

MLB-FSN In the big leagues this afternoon :00 the Cincinnati Reds are already headed
to the picnic after taking care of
business against the Astros.

The Reds got to Roger Clemens in
the second inning as he hung this pitch
right across the plate and Joe Randa's
hit it over the fence in left. That
was all the scoring until the Reds got
7 runs in the 9th inning.

ESPN Johns Hopkins, a team synomomous :00 with lacrosse success over the years
entered today's game with Duke having
not won a national title since 1987.

For Hopkins in the white, it was
the Blue Jays 16th title game
appearance - for Duke - its first.

Duke led 3-1 after the first
quarter before the teams began trading
goals in the second quarter and 7-to-6
at halftime. But Jake Byrne's goal
with 13:35 left in the fourth quarter
was the difference as Hopkins wins it
9-to-8 and becomes the first team to
finish the season undefeated and win
the national championship since
Princeton did do in 1997.

to- just to win a seven pound wheel of
Double Glouscester glaa-chester Cheese.

Dozens of people chase the cheddar
down a steep slope in Cooper's Hill.

Organizers claim the wheel can
reach speeds of 70 miles per hour.

The first person at the bottom of
the hill gets to keep the cheese.

Twenty one people were injured in
the race. Three suffered broken bones.
18 others had cuts and scrapes.

The winner was carted off
