Roanoke brought about a hundred people
to Lee Plaza.

Two of them laid a wreath at the
memorial across from city hall.
An official with the Department
of Veterans Affairs praised the
sacrifices of ordinary soldiers,

That's the conclusion of a new study
at the University of
Virginia.
The study found that popular teens
are three times more likely
to drink, smoke pot, shoplift and
vandalize property.
The study was based on surveys of
500 Charlottesville-area middle school
students.
One U-V-A professor says the study
contradicts the conventional view that
popular kids don't do bad things.
David Waters says it shows that we
shouldn't automatically blame the
disaffected and the lonely.
