GRAPHIC=Jackson The fate of pop superstar Michael

Jackson will soon lie in the hands of
the jury in his child molestation
trial.

Jurors could begin their
deliberations later today.

That after both sides had one final
opportunity to sway the panel.

Jackson, meanwhile, has been subdued
for the past few days as the case nears
its end.

As Jackson left court yesterday he
said, "I'm O-K."

Susan Roberts is in Santa Maria,
California, and joins us now with the
latest on the trial.

Michael Jackson's defense team gets one
final chance later today to

convince jurors that the pop star is
not a pedophile, but a victim of a

family on the make. During closing
arguments on Thursday, Jackson's

chief attorney Tom Mesereau told jurors
the alleged victim and his

mother simply have no credibility.

sot: Trent Copeland/Legal Analyst

(17:53:51)

"This is a family of grifters according
to the defense, a family who has

engaged in a pattern of deception,
pattern of lies, a family who has no

problem lying under oath in judicial
proceedings."

Measereau argued that if jurors have
questions about the accuser's

credibility, then this case has not
been proved beyond a reasonable

doubt.

Earlier, prosecutor Ron Zonen

repeatedly slammed Jackson during his

closing statement. He portrayed
Jackson as a serial sex predator who

had the motive, the opportunity and the
intent to prey on the alleged

victim.

sot: Laurie Levenson/Legal Analyst

(14:34:10)

"He went to the heart of the
molestation charges. He described what
it

was like to enter what he called, "the
world of the forbidden", that

being Michael Jackson's bedroom."

Zonen also came armed with graphic
pictures found in Jackson's Neverland

Ranch and he asked jurors why the
entertainer would have pornographic

materials, if he wasn't grooming young
boys to be molested.

(standup bridge)

Despite the blistering attack by the
prosecution, Jackson told

onlookers he was okay when leaving
court...but everyone knows that could

change very quickly in the coming days.

sot: Raymone Bain/Jackson Spokesperson

"This is his life here, this is no
joke."

Later today, the defense will finish
its closing arguments and then the

prosecution gets a final brief
rebuttal. But in the end, it will be
the

jury who has the final say...when they
determine whether Michael Jackson

is a child molester or a victim of a
family trying to shake down the

Michael Jackson's defense team gets one
final chance later today to

convince jurors that the pop star is
not a pedophile, but a victim of a

family on the make. During closing
arguments on Thursday, Jackson's

chief attorney Tom Mesereau told jurors
the alleged victim and his

mother simply have no credibility.

sot: Trent Copeland/Legal Analyst

(17:53:51)

"This is a family of grifters according
to the defense, a family who has

engaged in a pattern of deception,
pattern of lies, a family who has no

problem lying under oath in judicial
proceedings."

Measereau argued that if jurors have
questions about the accuser's

credibility, then this case has not
been proved beyond a reasonable

doubt.

Earlier, prosecutor Ron Zonen

repeatedly slammed Jackson during his

closing statement. He portrayed
Jackson as a serial sex predator who

had the motive, the opportunity and the
intent to prey on the alleged

victim.

sot: Laurie Levenson/Legal Analyst

(14:34:10)

"He went to the heart of the
molestation charges. He described what
it

was like to enter what he called, "the
world of the forbidden", that

being Michael Jackson's bedroom."

Zonen also came armed with graphic
pictures found in Jackson's Neverland

Ranch and he asked jurors why the
entertainer would have pornographic

materials, if he wasn't grooming young
boys to be molested.

(standup bridge)

Despite the blistering attack by the
prosecution, Jackson told

onlookers he was okay when leaving
court...but everyone knows that could

change very quickly in the coming days.

sot: Raymone Bain/Jackson Spokesperson

"This is his life here, this is no
joke."

Later today, the defense will finish
its closing arguments and then the

prosecution gets a final brief
rebuttal. But in the end, it will be
the

jury who has the final say...when they
determine whether Michael Jackson

is a child molester or a victim of a
family trying to shake down the
