spending months being treated for
severe burns she sustained in a house
fire.

Regional Airport, as Katy Bowyer
returned home.
She hasn't seen most of those who
greeted her since mid February.
That's when her Grandfather's
house in Blacksburg caught fire while
Katy was spending the night
Paul Bowyer pulled his
granddaughter from his burning house,
saving her life.
Something that Katy will never
forget.

memorial commemorating the Glider Pilot
Regiment of World War Two.
The glider regiment is credited
with capturing two key bridges on
D-Day.
Adam Howard's dad flew one of

A construction company based in
Roanoke is working on an 11 and a half
million dollar project at the Civic
Center.
Branch and Associates broke
ground on phase two of the expansion
and renovation project this week.
The new 45 thousand square foot
exhibit hall will allow the civic
center to host more events, at the cost
of parking.
Work should be finished in two
years.

A construction boom in Rocky
Mount is responsible for hundreds of
new jobs.
There's a new Y-M-C-A, Jammin
Apparel warehouse, a nephrology clinic,
and construction hasn't been limited to
the business and technology park.
The town manager says at least
300 new jobs have come to town, and a
hundred new homes are being built.

The New River is becoming a major
tourist attraction for Giles County,
and one local company is taking
advantage.
Tangent Outfitters has been
taking people on fishing trips, guided
tours, and other outdoor related
activities since the 90's.
Now the company is building new
homebase on the way to the Cascades in
Pembroke. They're putting in a cafe,
gas station, canoe and bike rentals,
along with offering guided tours.
But the visitors are welcome all
over Giles County.

Michel Jourdain then slams Wood, who

effort.
Kevin Harvick led a race high 86
laps, but this late race run-in with
Kyle Busch ended his hopes.
That opened the door for Martin
Truex, Jr. who avoided some lap traffic
on his way to the checkered flag for
his 2nd straight Dover victory, his
third win of the season and 9th overall
in the series.

ENG#=4 to their fourth season in the N-B-D-L
on the court. They eventually lost in
the first round of the D-League
Playoffs and now the team will have to
adapt to changes off the court.

The Russian American Kids Circus gave a
special performace filled with
juggling, acrobatics and flying trappez
at Roanoke Community Hospital.
The circus is made up of kids who
entertain other ailing kids at
hospitals throughout the country.
The group was established eleven years
ago, when a former star of the Moscow
Circus decided he wanted to open a
non-profit academy.
