WHILE THE BEAR ATTACKED THE FAMILY DOG,

paid off for some Bedford County
students today ... as they went to
lunch in style.

Ten Bedford Middle School students
earned a ride in a stretch limousine,
thanks to an incentive program that
encourages kids to keep hitting the
books.
It's called "B-M-S Bucks" ... and
students learned that doing their work
every week can really pay off.

PAST TWO YEARS HAS HAD AN 'ACCREDITED

TO COME UP WITH SOME TYPE OF A CREATIVE

Students earned their 'bucks' over
the past 14 weeks and then spent them
during an auction of donated prizes
last month.
The limo ride took this group to
lunch at a Bedford restaurant ... and
then back to school.

(END SOT) It's the coffee that is supposed to be
hot, not the machine.
But thats the problem with some
KitchenAid Coffee Makers. An internal
component can overheat and ignite
posing a fire hazard. The machines are
black, white, red or blue in color and
are in 10 or 12 cup models.Quite a few
models and serial numbers are affected
so you can go to the Consumer Product
Safety Commissions web site or call
Kitchenaid for more details at (800)
990-6255.
If you've just washed your hair- and
can't do a thing with it
Try anything you want except the GVP
Hair Straightening Iron. The heated
ceramic plates can detach during use
posing a risk of burn injuries. The
affected SKU number is 264800 and
should be written on the package. You
can return the iron to any Sally Beauty
Supply store for a refund or exchange
or call Generic Value Products at (800)
526-3009
And rounding out this episode of "All
things hot and dangerous..."
Check your pressure cooker before you
do your canning this year. If its a
Welbilt Electronic Pressure Cooker
model Number PC501 you need to contact
Home Shopping Network for a refund.
The cooker lid can open prematurely
while under pressure allowing hot
contents to be expelled from the
machine. Call HSN at (877) 710-1527
for more information.
For more information on any of these
recalls go to our website WDBJ7.com and
check out websites in the news.
