Police say an accident last night
is forcing them to detour traffic on
Route 220 near Daleville.

A tractor trailer crashed
there about 8:30.

Troopers say the rig was
coming off Interstate 81 at Exit 150
and couldn't stop. It ran over the
concrete median and overturned before
being hit by a pick-up truck.

The driver of the pick-up
was taken to a local hospital with
non-life threatening injuries.

The tractor trailer driver
was not injured.

State Police say clean up will
take several hours.

Renee Reeve was the getaway driver for
Marcus Conrad Ingram of Ferrum.

A year of haggling over the
school budget seems to have been too
much for Craig County's School
Superintendent.

November Dr. Rose Martin and the county
board of supervisors repeatedly clashed
on the issue of money.

In November, she asked the board
for funds to pay the school's bills.

Earlier this week, the school
board agreed to let Martin out of her
contract early.

In a statement obtained by News7,
she told teachers and staff: "I

believe in educational integrity and
the potential that exists for students.
However, I am disappointed in the
actions of the appropriating body, the
lack of funding, and the blatant
disrespect for the education of
children..."

Martin will officially be
released from her contract as of August

An educator is stepping down in
Roanoke County.

Larry Wood is retiring after
36-years.

Besides teaching health and gym
for Glenvar Middle and High Schools,
Wood was an assistant baseball coach.

there about 8:30 tonight.

Troopers say the rig was
coming off Interstate 81 at Exit 150
and couldn't stop. It ran over the
concrete median and overturned before
being hit by a pick-up truck.

The driver of the pick-up
was taken to a local hospital with
non-life threatening injuries.

The tractor trailer driver
was not injured.

State Police say clean up will
take several hours.

Craig County's School Superintendent
says enough's enough.

November Rose Martin and the county board
of supervisors repeatedly fought over
what Martin called a lack of funding.

Earlier this week, the school
board agreed to let Martin out of her
contract early.

In a statement to teachers and
staff, Martin wrote: "I believe in

educational integrity and the potential
that exists for students. However, I am
disappointed in the actions of the
appropriating body, the lack of
funding, and the blatant disrespect for
the education of children..."

Martin will be released from her
contract August first.

A tractor trailer crashed
there about 8:30 last night.

Troopers say the rig was
coming off Interstate 81 at Exit 150
and couldn't stop. It ran over the
concrete median and overturned.

A pickup truck was also involved.

The driver of the pick-up
was taken to a local hospital with
non-life threatening injuries.

The tractor trailer driver
was not injured.

State Police say clean up will
take several hours.

ENG#1 Crews are working to clean up a tractor

trailer accident on Route 220 in
Daleville.

Troopers say the rig was coming off
Interstate 81 at Exit 150 and couldn't
stop. It ran over the concrete median
and overturned.

A pick-up truck was also involved.

One southbound lane and one northbound
lane of Route 220 are open. The I-81
southbound entrance has also re-opened.

A Pulaski women is offering a reward
for information about her daughter's
death.

26 year old Mindy Dickerson was found

ENG#3 Opponents of a shooting range in Henry

County are now taking their concerns to
court.

Last month, the zoning board approved a
special use permit allowing the
Ridgeway Hunter's Club to operate its
shooting range.

The owners of the property next
to the range are appealing that
decision in Circuit Court.

Many residents have expressed concerns
over safety and noise.
